Fred Smith Company US 64 Excellence

Fred Smith Company is proud to share the exceptional progress our team in Eastern North Carolina has made on the US 64 project, stretching from NC 33 to the Martin County Line. To date, we’ve successfully covered 10 miles and laid down an impressive 60,000 tons of asphalt, with 20,000 tons still to go. This milestone reflects not just our commitment to quality but also the hard work and dedication of every individual involved in this project.
Our paving crew on the ground has been instrumental in ensuring that the asphalt is meticulously applied, while our plant managers have overseen production with the utmost precision. Additionally, our QC team has gone above and beyond, completing over 80 quality control tests without a single failure. This track record of excellence underscores the high standards we maintain in all our projects.
Such achievements are a testament to the collaborative effort and dedication of our entire team. From the paving crew working tirelessly on-site to the plant managers and the QC team ensuring top-notch quality, every member has played a crucial role in making this project a success.
As we continue to advance towards our goal, we remain committed to delivering superior infrastructure that meets the needs of the communities we serve. Fred Smith Company is dedicated to excellence, and our ongoing work on the US 64 project is a shining example of this commitment. We look forward to completing the remaining miles and continuing to set the standard for quality and reliability in road construction.
