The Willow Springs High School site started out as an old farm field with a watering pond in the middle surrounded by woods on two sides. The first phase of the project started by installing five erosion control ponds and perimeter silt fence and quickly moved into clearing and dewatering the pond to allow for stripping and stockpiling the topsoil and balancing the site. We transformed the site into what it is today by installing storm drain, sewer, domestic and fire water while balancing the site with onsite material over a period of several months. Afterward, a stone base was installed with curb and gutter to allow for the first lift of asphalt to go down. Additional lanes were added on Old Honeycutt Road to accommodate for future school traffic and then a new Culvert on Kennebec Road was installed to allow for it to be widened.
