Fred Smith Company and Flatiron JV Win CM/GC Project in Pinehurst for U.S. Open Championships

Fred Smith Company, in a joint venture with Flatiron, has been selected by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) for a significant Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) project in Moore County. The $100+ million project is set to prepare the Pinehurst area for the upcoming U.S. Open Championships at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club.

It focuses on improving safety and transportation flow in Southern Pines, Aberdeen, and Pinehurst through extensive roadway enhancements on NC-5, US-15/501, and US-1.
