Seaforth High School is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2021 and is sited to meet current and future student growth in the northeast quadrant of Chatham County and the eastern side of Jordan Lake. The new school and its site encompass roughly 75 acres of land and the design includes a building area of 217,000 square feet. The school will have a core capacity of 1,400-students. Fred Smith Company began its site preparation work in October of 2018.

June 2019 Update – Fred Smith Company utility crews continue to install storm drainage on site. An underground detention system consisting of 312 individual modules will be installed covering over 20,000 SF in area. The completed tank will be a 11 feet tall and will be able to hold roughly 200,000 cubic feet of water.
